Lionheart’s Protection Potion

This potion is best prepared during the waning moon as close to the new moon as possible. Also steel or iron pots are good for creating protection potions (though for any other potion I highly recommend glass or earthenware pots).

Tools:

·      Steel or Iron pot

·      Mortar and Pestle

·      Bowl or mixing vessel

·      Measuring Cup

·      Measuring Spoons (table spoon and teaspoon needed)

·      Cheesecloth

·      Jar or Bottle that can hold at least 1 ½ cup of water with out over flowing

Ingredients:

·      1 ½ cups Water

·       1 tablespoon Sea Salt

·      2 teaspoons Ground Sage

·      2 teaspoons St. John’s Wort

·      1 teaspoon Dragons Blood (ground)

·      1 teaspoon Juniper

Instructions:

 In a bowl or vessel start mixing the herbs together, enchanting each ingredient with red protective energy. Do this by holding the herb in your power hand (the hand you write with) and visualize yourself being filled with red light, slowly start tensing your muscles while chanting “Protection, Protection, Protection…”, I find it helps to also visualize a shield while building the energy, then focus the red light into your power hand and release your muscles slowly visualizing the energy transferring into the herb. Once the ingredient is enchanted add it to the bowl or vessel. Do this for each herb. The Dragons Blood can be enchanted while you crush it in your mortar and pestle, as you grind the Dragons Blood chant and visualize red light being pushed into the powder. Once you have enchanted and added each ingredient to the bowl begin mixing with your power hand while focusing on your intent. Now place your hands over the mixture and again enchant it with red protective energy.

  Next bring 1 ½ cup of water to boil, add the tablespoon of sea salt and mix well. Once the water is boiling turn heat down slightly and mix in your herb mixture. Let steep while mixing occasionally, here I would like to note that you should still be focusing on your intent. Once the herbs are blended place hands over the mixture (careful not to burn yourself) and enchant one last time with red protective energy. Turn off the heat and let cool. Once the mixture has cooled use the cheesecloth to strain the potion into your jar or bottle. Label the potion and date it.

Using your potion: DO NOT DRINK! This potion is for anointing your wrists and third eye while visualizing a red shield surrounding you, or you can use it to anoint candles for protection spells or even jewelry like necklaces to give them a protective power. The potion should last a long while as long as you keep it in a dark place away from direct sunlight. Record your performance and results in a journal specifically used for magick, dreams and meditations.

Need:

·         Green bottle half-filled with fresh water

Add handful of enchanted*** herbs such as:

·         2p Ginger

·         1p Dill

·         1p Vervain

·         1p Nutmeg

*charged with desire or magickal intent

Cap tightly and leave in sunlight all day*. At dusk sniff water. If scent is strong, strain and add to baths, wash hands with, anoint money charms and so on. If not strong enough yet, chill overnight then replace in sunlight next day.

*minimum of 4 hours if need be.

***To charge the herbs add them in a vessel according to the desired recipe (like the one above). Now using your hands mix the herbs together while focusing on your need for wealth and money and riches. See yourself already in possession of these blessings. Now move your hands to either side of the vessel and visualize a ball of green money attracting energy coming from your hands and forming around the vessel of herbs, say these or similar words:

“I charge you herbs of magick, herbs of power,

To bring wealth and riches in all its form,

As I do Will, so mote it be and it is so.”

Build more power by tensing all your muscles while visualizing your intent upon saying the above incantation, now push all this energy into the green ball of light by slowly releasing your muscles from your feet up, finally “push” this energy into the herbal mixture. You have just enchanted herbs with the purpose of attracting money.

The Magickal List of Accomplishments

 

“Decide what you want and then let the universe open doors for you.”

  Now the only challenge is deciding what you want. What do you really want out of life? What is it that you want to accomplish knowing you have limited time in this life? If you’re anything like me you know that there is an endless list of accomplishments you want to fulfill before your time is up in this life. So much can be explored, learned about and understood. So much can be experienced, attained and mastered, but where to start? How do you begin? Good question! There really is no wrong answer here but a good place to start; however is to make a list. A list of things you need and want to accomplish, a sort of bucket list if you will. This should be written down with careful thought and it should be written clearly on good paper, maybe even in a favorite journal, or on your computer, either way its best to make your ideas apparent through the list. Start with 10 goals and accomplishments then add to it as you go. But once your first draft is finished begin taking the steps to accomplish each line of your list. Start with the easier ones of course but never back down until you are able to cross off each line of your list.

  Once you begin you will be amazed at how the universe will respond to your intention and directed will. This is the main purpose of your list; a focal point for your will and intent. It’s a kind of spell. If you want you can bless your list with a ritual, energizing the list to set into motion the accomplishments listed before you. Keep the list in a safe place, perhaps in a special spot on your altar. Pull it out at least once every few days and go over each line, it helps to say each line out loud. When you read the lines, visualize each one coming true. “See” the lines on your list manifesting in your life. When you’ve finished and you’re not currently working on anything on your list, pick one line and dedicate some time to accomplish this goal. Make a real effort with each line and the universe will respond accordingly.

Healing Light Candle by Tytus Lionheart

Here is a spell of my own creation (straight out of my own Book of Shadows) that is tried and true. The effects seem to work quickly; eases pain, controls nausea, calms restlessness due to sickness and aids in the healing process. I have had amazing results with this spell when I used it to ease my fiance's healing after chemothrapy; it truley took away his pain so he could sleep peacefully after each treatment.

Tools:
1 blue candle and candle holder (4 inch spell candles work best)
Lavender oil (can substitute with oilve oil)
Sea salt (can sub for regular table salt)
Water and dish
Vervain
Rose Petals (fresh or dried)
Small bowl (for vervain and rose petal mixture)
Carving tool (athame or toothpick)

To begin: Consecrate salt by holding it in your hands. Build personal power by tensing all your muscles while visualizing that you are generating white pure energy. Focus this energy into a shining white sphere around your hands and "push" that light into the salt within your hands, say as you do"I bless thee O' creature of Earth, I charge thee to purify and banish all negativity." Once the salt is consecrated (or enchanted if you will), sprinkle it into the bowl of fresh water, visualizing a sphere of light around the water bowl and say, "I bless thee O creature of Water, I charge thee to purify and banish all negativity. You have just created holy water.

Now sprinkle the holy water over the work space (a bed, or comfortable laying mat is ideal for this working). Anoint yourself and the person being healed (if you are casting this spell for yourself then only anoint yourself). To anoint, dab your pointer and middle finger into the holy water and trace of pentacle on forehead, also lightly sprinkle affected area if needed.

Anoint or dress the candle with holy water while saying, " I banish all impurities that may reside within this candle." Anoint the candle again with lavender oil while visualizing the person as healthy and being healed by the candles light say, "Sweet magickal Lavender, release your healing vibrations as this candle burns."

Very carfully, and while focusing on your intent inscribe a pentacle as best you can into the candle while chanting, "Pentacle of healing, pentacle of life, give power to the healing light." Once the inscription is done hold the candle between both hands and strongly visualize you or the recepiant as being relaxed, and fully healed of all your/their symptoms. Place the enchanted candle in it's holder.

Take a handful or so of Vervain and hold between your hands. Again visualize either you or the recipient in perfect health, see all symptoms of the affliction lifted from yourself or the other person. Say, "Vervain of power, aid this spell in conducting healing energy." Tense your muscles while focuing on this intent, see blue healing energy rise from your body. Focus this energy to your hands and again "push" this energy into the herb.
Use this same process for the rose petals, empowering them with peace, love and healing, say "Rose of love, rose of peace lend your power and give release."

Mix the vervain and the rose petals, then sprinkle them clockwise around the candle still holding your visualization in mind. Now stand and place hands over entire spell setup and further empower the arrangement with strong energy and visualization. Remember to direct the energy towards the spell setup, say, "As this candle burns so too does the affliction and bane of all that bathes within its light. Heal, soothe and repair! As I do will, with harm to none, so mote it be!" Light the candle.

Let the receipiant (or yourself) lay down in the anointed space and rest within the candles light to gain the benefits of its healing energy. The spell is ended.

You can let the candle burn out or snuff it out with a blade or your licked fingers (never blow out magickal candles, it is ill luck and an affront to the spirit of Fire) and save it for another spell of this type. **Note** only do one spell per candle. For candle magick of another type use a different candle.

 Use image as stencil for clay pendant. As you inscribe symbol in wet clay, chant the magickal intention over and over while visualizing. Feel the power build within you and release it into the clay and symbol as you work. Example chant:

Enchantment for Power Charm

“Within this charm I place power,

 that can be called on every hour,

With the key which must be spoken,

And within me power shall awaken,

Thus shall the enchantment, “Beatus Esse”, bring such magick to happen!”

Visualize yourself being able to easily tap into your magickal powers and spiritual energy while wearing this pendant after saying the magick words “Beatus Esse”, which is Latin for “Blessed Be”.

The symbol

The symbol or inscription you use on your pendant can be any that inspire you or give you strength. Examples can be: the pentacle, cross, ankh, yin-yang, Thor’s hammer, a lion, a dragon, mystic star (Star of David), or you could even use a symbol of your own creation that speaks of your personal power.

Other magickal goals

 Increasing magickal or spiritual power need not be the only goal for the magickal clay pendant. Other goals include: healing, luck, prosperity, happiness, meditation, sleep, psychic awareness, spirit summoning, invocation, banishment, protection, bindings, love, strength, success...etc. any magickal goal can work with the magickal clay pendant.



The Clay

Real earthen clay, all natural clay is best for this type of practice. Artificial clays will not absorb nor mingle with the energies of the spell properly. My favorite type of clay is distributed by AMACO : Natural Clay. Be sure the box or container with which the clay is packaged reads “non-toxic, lead free” and that it is reusable air dry clay and use a sealer for extra strength. You can easily find this clay at art shops and craft stores, I find mine at Michaels Art’s and Crafts.

Dressing Candles, Candle Magick

To "dress" a candle you anoint it with oil or salt-water, rubbing it into the candle from the center toward the ends. Always rub in the same direction. While dressing the candle you should be concentrating hard and visualizing on your magickal intent.

Candles are useful for magickal uses, the reason for this is quite clear and simple:

• Candles are available in a wide range of colors and colors are directly related to magickal energies.
• Candles absorb personal magickal energy easily.
• When burned, candles release their energy over a period of time.

The candle itself, unlit, represents the element, Earth. When touched with fire, the candle melts, producing wax (representative of the element water) and smoke (the element air). This process of elemental symbology is another reason why candles are an accepted part of folk magick.

The Candles

Ideally, the candles will be of solid beeswax, colored with natural dyes and hand-dipped by the Caster (the magickal practitioner). In reality, candles are often made of parrafin, are artificially colored, and mass-produced by factories. Beeswax candles are available in many colors and (are said) to produce the best results, but any candle will work. It doesn't have to be expensive or hand-made, for candles are simply vehicles for the Caster's personal magickal power. Magicians usually select a candle for ritual by it's color, matching it's hue to the type of ritual they'll be doing. This isn't strictly necessary, for the color merely assists the Caster to accurately program personal magickal power. If you can't find the appropriate color for your spell, or you just don't have it, white candles can be used for every magickal purpose.
